GOT WOODS, GOT WATER, GOT LIFE

So states the sign at the trailhead of our favorite neighborhood hike.  For the second straight Saturday, we set off into the woods, walking with the sound of small waterfalls nearby, through 'time tunnels' of bamboo and vines (Eamonn's favorite stretches of trail), up up up Doi Suthep until we come upon the forest temple, Wat Palaad.

Above, Fee and Eamonn enjoy the view while sitting on the waterfall that winds through Wat Palaad.

A perfect place to relax and take a family selfie or two ;)

This morning, Ren brought her sketch pad and took the time to draw some of the buildings.

Fee and Eam take a look at the stream, next to the hermit monk sitting in perpetual meditation (easy for a statue to do).  In all, a great way to kickstart a Saturday.

This is Aaron, but I'm sure Darci would share the sentiment. You guys left the country at a really good time. It looks amazing over there!!! Love to you all.

Your friend Darci got that right,......what a great time to be away from the US of A.
American is NOT being Made Great Again. This blog is wonderful. Kisses to Eam and Ren!

Hello Aaron and Momma! I agree, nice to have some distance right now - though we have been writing senators and reps... And Aaron, the lanterns in the last pic on this post reminded me a bit of lanterns that you've drawn :)
