Sometimes it gets so hot, even our poor glass of drinking water starts sweating. The above is a self-portrait taken though the condensation left by a glass of water on our coffee table. Looks like something by a more free-spirited Chuck Close.

100 long years ago, the Thai King Chulalongkorn took a regal tour through Europe. His accounts of the trip were compiled into the book 'Glai Baan'. Had Al Gore invented the internet before the turn of the 20th century, I have no doubt King Chula would have skipped the book and been a tireless blogger.
